Panag Pharma Inc. announces initiation of a Clinical Trial

Halifax, Nova Scotia. Panag Pharma, Inc. launched a clinical trial evaluating the use of the newly NHP registered product Topical A^OTC, a new generation topical for pain and pain associated with inflammation. Topical A^OTC is a Health Canada approved natural health product indicated for temporary relief of aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with simple backache, lumbago, strains, sprains and arthritis.

This study consists of a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover trial with open label extension evaluating Topical A^OTC against placebo. At the end of the randomized controlled phase of the trial all participants will be given Topical A^OTC combination cream to be administered over the subsequent 3 weeks.

The study is being run in the Pain Management Unit at the QEII Health Science Centre in Halifax, NS and is currently recruiting individuals experiencing pain due to arthritis of the knee.  Local recruitment contact for the trial can be reached at 902-473-1157.
